Last week I wrote about the value of time and how I believe each and every one of us is very lucky to be experiencing every day the joy of living, because you never know when your time is up...
The value of time is something very personal and something that can only be appreciated if you understand your own value in life...
What do I mean by that?
Well, for example, my belief and behavior around time have always been with abundance, so I consider that time is no issue. This means that I never really put any pressure on myself with time constraints, because I believe whatever you want to achieve in life will take the time it needs to develop and grow. The thought that you can control time, is setting yourself up for failure.
You stress out about not having reached a certain goal at a certain moment in life, which really is nothing but wasted energy in my opinion.
So does this mean that I don't set any goals for myself?
That is a very good question!
I actually dream about the things I would love to achieve one day, but I never put a date on it, or write a game plan on when to do what, to achieve something by a specific date in the future.
This is something that has been very challenging in the past with people who worked with me, because everyone always needs to have a deadline. They always want to hear from me when something is supposed to be finished, or when something should be launched, whereas I believe it takes the time it needs to take to fully flourish into whatever it needs to be.
However, that doesn't mean that I just sit back, relax and wait for things to happen!
On the contrary actually! I always take 1 step at a time, with consideration of my own needs, the ones of my husband and off course the daily needs of our daughter.
To balance all of this out, we came up with a way that works for us and helps us focus on the priorities of our family every day. There are moments we struggle and need to adjust things, which is completely normal, because life is changing every day.
So when we come back to money and the beliefs around that, I value that the same as time...
TIME IS MONEY, you often hear people say...
But what does that really mean?
For me personally, money is energy...
Money comes and goes and doesn't make you more or less than anybody else
It's always available to each and every one of us, but it doesn't define you as a person
The more you stress out about not having enough money, the more time you waste where you could actually be making money.
Once you value your time accordingly, you will start to see a shift in your money flow as well!
How do you spend your time? And how do you spend your money?
Stop comparing yourself to others and take a good look at who you are, what you consider to be important in your life and start setting up your priorities.
Since I truly believe in the power of abundance and always feel very grateful for the lessons I've learnt so far in my life, I wanted to give away a few copies of my "Time Is No Issue" Exercise to help you get started with valuing your time and money.
The first 100 people who share with me why they believe this exercise can be helpful for them, will receive the exercise for free.
Lots of love,
Esther
