It’s been more than 8 years ago since I last organized a group event with my own agency, Es Ibiza Events &Incentives, and lately I’ve been dreaming of getting back to that again…
For many years my priority has been to create a family and to be honest it gave me little room to do a big new project next to it.
Becoming a mom and settling into our new family life sure took some time to get used to, but little by little I got more space to think about a new type of event.
As some of you might know, most of my adult life or at least my professional life I’ve been living in Spain. Different cities in the mainland and many years on my beloved island Ibiza, which definitely has left its mark in my way of thinking and behaving.
I feel more at home in Spain… off course the weather, beautiful beaches and amazing nature are important, but for me the slower pace and the social & emotional part of the Spanish lifestyle is what makes me feel at my best.
It’s been a long cherished dream of mine to find a place that could offer me a lot of similar elements like Ibiza where my family and I could settle down and start a new chapter in our journey.
Years ago a very dear friend of mine mentioned a place south of Barcelona in case I wanted to make a switch to the mainland. And somehow that recommendation always stayed with me…
A few weeks ago I suddenly felt the call to go and check it out all by myself, which was a real adventure on its own because I haven’t been apart from my daughter since she was born!
Leaving my family for a whole week with no exact clue what I was looking for, but somewhere deep inside of me knowing I had to do it!
My first impression of the town wasn’t great to be honest, but the first time I got to Ibiza and woke up in Figueretas wasn’t exactly a dream come true either. You need some time to get lost and feel the place…
So that’s what I did:
I drove around and soaked up the beautiful energy of the nature, the breathtaking views on the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, discovering the possibilities of the region.
Before I knew it, I started to make a program in my head with beautiful experiences, visits and moments to connect with other people. Slowly I started building a tour where I would want to take others.
