During our past weekend getaway as a family, it suddenly hit me: the time that I've spent working on myself and becoming who I am, finally starts to pay off:
I no longer need to apologize myself for being a " FLAMINGO"!
Obviously, I'm not a real bird ( even though some people would clearly identify me as a bit "cuckoo" at times because of my life choices), but I do show up in life as someone who really trusts their gut feeling.
If I'm happy where I am, I stay...
but when I feel it's time to leave a situation, a place, or a relationship, I will pack up and go:
It doesn't need to make sense, it only needs to feel right!
That has been my mantra for years to be honest.
This "going with the flow" lifestyle started early on in my teenage years.
All the family holidays to countries within Europe and abroad, triggered an interest inside of me to discover and live in different countries as an adult.
As soon as I had finished my high school, I was given the opportunity by my parents to experience my first solo adventure: to live and study abroad in San Diego (California, USA).
That first international experience combined with the sudden death of my father a few years later, made me realize how amazing and both fragile our life is.
It inspired me to really seize the day, so that I could really live life fully and embrace all the challenges and struggles as part of the journey.
The struggles I went through as a single woman were the inspiration of my book "Issues & Tissues" and the challenge to become a couple has been the base for my second story "The Dream Life Journey" (audio only), which are both available in my own app The Esther Ibiza Club.
As a single woman and later as a couple, this flamingo lifestyle of just going with the flow was still kind of "easy", whereas things started to become more tricky once we became a family.
To be able to really follow your gut, trust your intuition at all times, while also balancing family life, sure is a whole new experience...
In a world where technology and AI increasingly seem to infiltrate our daily life, I hope to inspire you with authentic stories from the heart.
See you around!
