OFFLINE is truly where the magic happens ✨🤍
Yesterday I had the privilege of joining my daughter’s school trip.
For me, it’s obviously been decades since my own school trips, but experiencing one as a mom is a whole different story.
Getting to share this day with my daughter and all her school friends was truly heart-filling.
As I watched the children throughout the day, I realized how many emotions they had to navigate in just a few hours.
The excitement of discovering a new place.
The uncertainty of not knowing if they’ll like it.
Waiting for the school bus to arrive.
Not knowing how long the journey would take.
Meeting new people.
Trying new things.
Finding their place within the group.
It reminded me that children naturally live through experiences that constantly stretch them beyond what feels familiar.
And somehow, most of them just keep going.
Curious.
Excited.
Open.
Present.
While walking around, I caught myself simply observing.
The conversations.
The laughter.
The little moments between friends.
The excitement when they discovered something new together.
None of it was extraordinary.
Yet all of it felt special.
Maybe because so much of life happens in these simple moments.
Not behind a screen.
Not through a highlight reel.
But while sharing an experience with other people in real life.
The truth is, it was also quite an overload in stimulation for me (and yes, I’m still recovering 😅).
But at the same time, I felt incredibly grateful.
Grateful to witness my daughter in her world.
Grateful to spend a day together.
Grateful for the reminder that connection often happens in the most ordinary moments.
Moments that can’t be planned.
Moments that can’t be captured perfectly.
Moments that simply happen because we showed up.
And once again, I was reminded:
OFFLINE is truly where the magic happens. 🤍
